Designed and engineered for the unique demands of enduro and downhill riding, the EX1028 delivers a super strong and reliable, yet light package for a perfect custom gravity wheelset.
EX1028 is the latest version of Mavic gravity rims, and as such is the most strong and durable rim profile ever created. Offering both lightweight and a wider 28mm profile, this welded rim features a crochet type profile and was designed to absorb big impacts from hard-hammering rocks to hard landings and big compressions. Optimised up to the limit of material potential, EX 1028 is Mavic's premium gravity-oriented rim.
Maxtal aluminium alloy
Light and strong and exclusive to Mavic. This specific aluminium alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy
ISM 4D light rim
Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions. An exclusive Mavic patented concept, reducing weight and inertia without compromising durability. Faster acceleration, better handling and more resistance. The perfect mix to make the most of any ride.
SUP welding
Strong and smoother. After bending the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish

Traction and control. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats
