Starting with the proven Gatorskin platform, the Gator Hardshell was created with a unique 3-ply polyamide casing, adding a third layer in the sidewall for maximum cut resistance. A wider Poly-X puncture breaker belt now runs beneath the tread and into the shoulders, providing expanded protection where it’s needed most. Combined with the Duraskin anti-tear mesh on the outer casing, it delivers exceptional toughness without sacrificing speed—making it the ultimate commuter tyre for riders who go the distance.

Taking the Gatorskin as our base, we've added a third Polyamide layer in the sidewall to make a unique 3-ply casing for the Gator Hardshell.
We've also added a wider Poly-X anti puncture breaker belt under the tread which extends down into the shoulder area for wider coverage.
Add this to the Duraskin anti-tear mesh on the outside of the casing and you are presented with a tougher commuter which is also fast and is available in 700x23 up to 32 plus 27 x 1 1/4.
