The KMC BE08TEP22 e8 EPT chain is a 1/2" × 3/32" 6-/7-/8-speed e-bike chain featuring EcoProTeQ coating for twice the corrosion resistance of conventional finishes, a Double X-Bridge profile for smooth, omnidirectional shifting, and a tool-free MissingLink master link for rapid installation. Engineered specifically for mid-motor e-bikes, the BE08TEP22 offers increased tensile strength and durability under high loads, making it ideal for demanding urban, touring, and all-mountain biking conditions.

EPT Coating

The environmentally friendly EcoProTeQ technology (EPT) from KMC protects chains against corrosion for twice as long as conventional rust protection, setting a new standard. Each component of every chain link is treated separately with EPT. This means a 100% coating that offers the lowest possible attack by water, salt, and air humidity.

Another characteristic of EPT: The very smooth surface gives chains excellent running qualities. Dirt buildup is minimised in the long term, which means that chain maintenance is significantly relieved.
