With DT's first freehub system designed from scratch for E-MTB use, these 240's offer the finest balance of performance and durability for long term E-MTB use

  • Designed to balance rapid engagement with the sustained loads produced by the latest high-torque motors; the Ratchet EXP Oversized (EXP OS) system greatly increases the overall size of DT's proven EXP mechanism to offer even greater strength and long term reliability
  • As a result they are now able offer a 30-tooth system that easily passes Hybrid certification, the fastest engaging hub yet to do so
  • New, oversized hub shell for maximum stiffness and overall wheel durability
  • To achieve Hybrid certification, the hub shell and axle have to prove they have over twice the fatigue life of standard components in DT's in-house torture lab
  • Drilled for 2.34 mm heavy duty spokes but also compatible with standard 2mm models
  • CNC'd steel freehub bodies for ultimate reliability under high-torque
  • Oversized custom bearings, and improved contact-free double flange sealing
  • Even with all these changes the Hybrids are still 240's at heart so they can be easily serviced just like any other DT hub
