Its hard to beat World Tour performance at a price that doesnt necessitate taking out a second mortgage, and thats where the Venge Expert Disc lands. It features many of the same qualities as its wicked-fast siblings, like a Rider-First Engineered™ frame and incredible stopping power with disc brakes, just with a traditional cockpit.
In the Win Tunnel, every tube, trailing edge, and design cue was made for speed. Its also Rider-First Engineered™ to ensure that every frame size experiences uniform performance. Front-end stiffness, meanwhile, was increased by 30% over the Tarmac SL5.
For this iteration of the Venge, however, Specialized specd it with a traditional stem and the S-Works Aerofly handlebars. And while there is a slight loss in aerodynamics with this configuration, it makes set-up and changes to the overall fit far easier than with the ViAS system. Of course, this disc version of the Venge also changes the game with undeniable stopping power without any penalty to the aerodynamic profile, so you get powerful hydraulic disc braking without any sacrifices.
Then theres Shimano Ultegra groupset that delivers reliable performance and the Roval SLX 24 rims that are laced to DT Swiss 350 hubs. Theyre light enough to race on, yet durable enough for everyday training. So when it comes to speed at value, nothing outperforms the Venge Expert Disc.
