"I used to have a pair of BG Rimes and these seem like a direct replacement for them so if you got on with Rimes you'll probably like these! The toe box is nice and open so no problem if you've got big feet. The Boa gives a nice tight fit without being too much and the sole stiffness index is 6 so it gives reasonable stiffness without being difficult to walk in. Compared to the Rimes, these have a much more commute or leisure sole with 'bars' to protect the SPD cleat, so they wouldn't be much use off road if you have to get off the bike. The only other very minor downside is that there's a retaining piece of elastic to keep the tongue of the shoe in place. You've got to push against this to get your foot in. Not a particular deal breaker and, again, if you've already got a pair of Rimes it's just the same as those."

"Very grippy sole. Nice and comfortable with a nice roomy toe area. Sock like snug Ness around the ankle. Very secure and tension dial works well and has tiny increments to fine tune comfort. Body geometry is a great feature as I have low arches, bunions and semi knackered knees but don't even realise I have these on. Got these at half price so I'm well happy."

"A good looking shoe with plenty of room inside at my usual size but wish they were easier to get my feet into although once in you hardly need any pressure on the straps or dial as the inner tongue seems to provide all the security that I need. My right spd cleat only just engages with the Shimano A600 pedal(didn't initially!) - probably the tread is fractionally thicker but will wear in/down; no problem with the left cleat. Rode in them over the weekend and I like how they feel and the stiff sole (using them for the road). I'm quite happy with this purchase which arrived remarkably quickly and for a good price. "
